Harlyn Bay Beach lies in a sheltered location to the east of Trevose Head, near Padstow, on the north Cornwall coast. A north east-facing, crescent-shaped, sand and pebble beach backed by sand dunes, Harlyn Bay Beach stretches around a half a mile.
Conditions in the bay are often ideal for surfing and consequently the beach is a popular one with surfers as well as families. Surf boards may be hired at the beach. Lifeguards patrol the beach from May to September.
Self catering holiday accommodation near the beach is available in Constantine Bay, Harlyn Bay and Trevone Bay holiday cottages. Padstow (3 miles by road), Mawgan Porth (7 miles) and Wadebridge (10 miles) also provide self catering options including holiday cottages.
A large car park, with overflow parking, is located by the beach. There is easy access to the beach from the car park, but the beach can be accessed from various points. Toilets are a short walk from the beach, near the car park, and other facilities include a shop, caf and pub. Dogs are permitted on the beach.
