Pentewan Beach








Pentewan Beach is a south east-facing, sandy beach near Mevagissey, Cornwall. A disused quay stands at the north end of the beach, which at low tide stretches to around a half a mile. The relatively safe waters provide good conditions for swimming and watersports.
Information
The beach, which is privately owned and backed by a caravan park, is accessible to visitors via Pentewan village. There is a small car park in the village, not far from the beach, from where the beach can easily be accessed (including disabled access).
Holiday cottages in Pentewan provide self catering accommodation to holiday makers. Further self catering options are provided by holiday cottages in Mevagissey (2 miles from Pentewan by road), St Austell (4 miles) and Gorran Haven (5 miles).
The nearest public toilets are in Pentewan village. Refreshments are available from a kiosk at the beach. Dogs are not permitted on the beach in peak seasons and are restricted in off-peak seasons. There is no lifeguard service.
