Towan Beach






Towan Beach is a quiet, south east facing beach near St Mawes on the Roseland Peninsula, Cornwall. Towan is a sand and shingle beach, with rock pools revealed at low tide. This beach should not be confused with Towan Beach, Newquay.
Information
Towan Beach is located at the southern-most tip of Gerrans Bay. Beaches in Cornwall nearby include Porthbeor and Portscatho, both of which can be reach on foot via the South West Coast Path. There are also fine sea views to be enjoyed from St Anthony Head, approximately 2½ miles to the south west.
Holiday cottages in St Mawes (7 miles from Towan Beach by road) and Portscatho (2 miles) offer nearby self catering accommodation. Cornwall holiday makers will find further holiday accommodation options in Truro (17 miles), St Austell (17 miles) and Falmouth (27 miles) holiday cottages.
A small car park is situated near the beach at Porth Farm, from where the beach is easily accessed via a path. Facilities are limited to toilets only. Dogs are permitted on the beach all year.
