  1. Visited in January 2018 and the cafe was closed, obviously, but the sculptured cliffs on this beach are amazing, along with its several waterfalls, made more spectacular by the large amount of rain we’ve had over the winter.
The pebble beach isn’t the easiest to walk on, but well worth the effort to see (and photograph) those amazing rock sculptures. There’s always Crooklets Beach Cafe to return to for a great meal – Hake and chips is simply wonderful and the coffee is first class!
The only downside was the large bin bag full of plastic we managed to find in just a small area – none of it left by visitors to the beach but chucked overboard from ships at sea whose crews are treating our precious oceans as rubbish bins.
Fortunately, the National Trust provides recycling containers at the side of the cafe where we were able to unload our big bag full instead of having to take it home.

  2. Whether you’re here to surf, staying at a local holiday park or walking the Coast Path, you’ll always get a warm welcome when you come to the cafe. We’re open every day from March until November, serving a wide variety of food and refreshments we’re sure to have something to whet every appetite.
