Port Gaverne Beach is a small, north west-facing beach just outside the picturesque fishing village of Port Isaac, on the north Cornwall coast. Situated in a narrow cove, at low tide Port Gaverne is a sheltered, sand and shingle beach populated by rock pools.
Port Gaverne is a popular and safe, family beach. Half a mile to the west of Port Gaverne lies Port Isaac Beach, beyond which lies the beach of Port Quin. Trebarwith Strand Beach lies 6 miles to the north.
Holiday cottages in Port Gaverne and Port Isaac offer self catering holiday accommodation options. Of the larger towns in Cornwall, holiday cottages are also available in Wadebridge (10 miles from Port Gaverne by road), Bodmin (15 miles) and Padstow (16 miles).
Car parking is available in Port Isaac village, a short walk from the beach. The village provides a range of facilities including cafes, shops, pubs and toilets. Port Gaverne is a dog-friendly beach. There is no lifeguard service.
