Polventon Beach is a north east-facing beach in Mother Ivey’s Bay near Padstow, Cornwall. The sandy beach sits in a sheltered location on the picturesque headland, Trevose Head. Padstow’s lifeboat station is situated at Trevose Head and can be seen to the north of the beach.

Mother Ivey’s Bay

Harlyn Bay Beach, to the east of Mother Ivey’s, is a fine family beach which is also a popular surfing venue. To the west of Trevose Head is the long, sandy beach of Constantine Bay.

Holiday cottages in Constantine Bay, Harlyn Bay and Trevone Bay offer self catering holiday accommodation in the area. Padstow (4 miles by road), Wadebridge (11 miles) and Mawgan Porth (8 miles) holiday cottages provide further self catering options.

There are no facilities at Mother Ivey’s Bay. The nearest car park and toilet facilities are at Harlyn Bay (around 1½ miles away), which at low tide can be reach via the South West Coast Path. Dogs are permitted on the beach.
