Tolcarne Beach is situated between Great Western and Lusty Glaze beaches on the north coast of Newquay, Cornwall; the largest of four beaches which, combined, cover over a mile of glorious sands at low tide.

Information

Tolcarne Beach, Newquay

Surrounded on three sides by high cliffs, Tolcarne is a sheltered, north-west-facing beach. Like Newquay’s other fine beaches it provides ideal conditions for both families and surfers, though access can be difficult. The beach can be accessed at low tide via Great Western Beach but otherwise access is via demanding cliff steps, so not suitable for all.

Holiday cottages in Newquay cater for holiday makers seeking self catering holiday accommodation. Further afield, self catering is also provided in Porth and Watergate Bay holiday cottages.

Lifeguards patrol the beach during the summer and facilities include a shop, watersports hire and tuition, cafés, beach huts and toilets. There is no car park but Newquay town centre is a very short walk away.

Whether relaxing with friends or just a chilled glass of wine watching the sunset fade-away, rocking your flip-flops or Sunday best, we have created a venue buzzing with chic beach style, jazz sounds and good time vibes.
