The large, sandy beach at Holywell Bay Beach is located around 6 miles west of Newquay, on the north Cornwall coast. The mile-long beach has disabled access from the car park and is dog-friendly. The clean, safe waters make Holywell Bay a popular destination for surfers and swimmers.
The Newquay area is one of the most popular with visitors to Cornwall. Self catering accommodation is widely available, with numerous holiday cottages in Newquay and Holywell Bay holiday cottages from which to choose.
At low tide children can paddle in rock pools or shallow streams on Holywell Bay beach. The numerous sand dunes provide a dry option at low or high tide. Lifeguards patrol the beach during peak seasons.
The town is named after a holy well, the whereabouts of which is now unknown. Holywell Golf Course is set in a scenic position above the beach, with views over the Atlantic.
