Piskies Cove beach is situated in a small, sheltered cove, near Cornwall’s Lizard Peninsula. It is one of several coves in and around Prussia Cove. At low tide the south-facing beach provides good sun-bathing conditions, on the small, sandy beach or its surrounding rocks.
Beaches nearby offering easier access include Praa Sands, Porthleven and Perranuthnoe, all of which can be reached on foot via the South West Coast Path, which stretches around the coast of Cornwall and provides excellent walking.
Holiday cottages in Prussia Cove and Praa Sands (3½ miles from Piskies Cove by road) offer self catering holiday accommodation to Cornwall holiday makers in the area. Holiday cottages in Helston (9 miles), Penzance (8 miles) and St Ives (11 miles) offer further self catering options in Cornwall’s larger towns.
The beach is difficult to access for the less able-bodied, and at high tide, the beach is reclaimed by the sea. There are no facilities or car parking facilities at the beach. The nearest car parks are at Prussia Cove or Bessy’s Cove, though the car park at the latter is very small. Dogs are permitted on the beach.
