Kennack Sands Beach is a south east-facing beach on the Lizard Peninsula, Cornwall. The wide expanses of sand, numerous rock pools and grassy banks make it a popular destination for families. The beach, which is part of Gwendreath National Nature Reserve, is owned by Tregothnan Estate.
Kennack Sands Beach sits in a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, in which walking is a rewarding pastime. The South West Coast Path heads east to Coverack. To the south the path heads to Lizard Point via Cadgwith.
Holiday cottages on the Lizard Peninsula offer self catering holiday accommodation to holiday makers in Cornwall. Helston (12 miles from Kennack Sands by road) and Falmouth (18 miles) holiday cottages provide further self catering options.
The beach can be easily accessed from the beach-side car park. Toilets are situated by the car park, as are a café and beach shop. Dogs are not permitted on the west of the beach from Easter to October, but are permitted on the east of the beach all year round. Lifeguards patrol the beach during the summer.
