Porthcurnick Beach is a sandy, south-facing beach nestling in a small cove near Portscatho, on the beautiful Roseland Peninsula in Cornwall. At low tide, when rock pools are revealed, the neighbouring beach of Portscatho can be reached.

Description

Beach at Porthcurnick, CornwallPorthcurnick is a privately owned beach, which is open to the public. Though some limited parking is available by the beach, the nearest car park is situated in Portscatho, from which the beach can be accessed on foot via a footpath and steps. For keen walkers, nearby beaches in Cornwall, such as Carne, Pendower, Porthbeor and St Anthony Head can be reached via the stunning South West Coast Path.

Portscatho holiday cottages provide self catering accommodation near the beach. Further self catering accommodation is available in St Mawes (5 miles by road), St Just in Roseland (3 miles) and Truro (14 miles) holiday cottages.

Toilet facilities and a shop are open in peak, summer months only. Further facilities are provided in Portscatho. Dogs are permitted on the beach but must be kept on a lead. There is no lifeguard patrol. A slipway provides access to the north of the beach.
