Four miles north of Bude, on the Cornwall and Devon border, Duckpool is a small, pebbly beach which reveals expanses of sand and rock pools at low tide. Duckpool is one of the most picturesque coves in the Bude area, bordered by steep cliffs and the woodland of Coombe Valley, with fine views of the north Cornwall coast.
A range of holiday accommodation is provided in the area, including holiday cottages in Bude.
The tides and geology of the area make Duckpool Beach dangerous for swimming and suitable only for the most experienced surfers. There is no lifeguard service.
A National Trust car park is available, from which there is level access to the beach. Duckpool is a dog-friendly beach.
