Crooklets Beach is a small, west-facing beach in northern Bude, on Cornwall’s north coast. At low tide, when Crooklets links with the neighbouring beaches of Summerleaze and Northcott Mouth, wider expanses of sand and rock pools are exposed. Over land, Crooklets is within walking distance of Bude’s town centre.
Crooklets is a popular destination for surfers of all standards, its more exposed location providing larger Atlantic swells than Summerleaze. Lifeguards patrol the beach from May to September.
Self catering accommodation near the beach is available in Bude holiday cottages. 4½ miles to the south of Bude lies Widemouth Bay Beach, near which further self catering options are available in Widemouth Bay holiday cottages.
There is level access to the beach from its large car park (with disabled access) and the numerous facilities include a café, play area, swimming pool and toilets. Further facilities and amenities, including shops, restaurants and pubs, are available in the nearby town centres of Bude and Flexbury. There is restricted access for dogs on the beach from Easter to October.
